ANED (Academic Network of European Disability expert) ist ein neues europaweites akademisches Netzwerk im Bereich Behinderung. Es wird von der Europäischen Komission finanziert und baut auf der Fachkenntnis von bestehenden Forschungszentren und Netzwerken auf. Es berät sich mit Organisationen behinderter Menschen und wird von Organisationspartnern, nationalen Experten, thematischen Berichterstattern und externen Beratern unterstützt. Die kooperative Infrastruktur des Netzwerks maximiert Beteiligungs- und Stundenlehrsamkeit über Forschungs- und Politikgemeinschaften und stärkt dabei den Europäischen Forschungsraum.
Ziel des Projektes ist die Unterstützung der Europäischen Behindertenpolitik, um die Gleichberechtigung und die gleichberechtigte Teilhabe am gesellschaftlichen Leben für Menschen mit Behinderungen zu verbessern. Der Schwerpunkt liegt in der führenden Rolle von behinderten Menschen im Management. Die Aufgaben des Netzwerks sind:

- Koordination von kritischer Behindertenforschung der EU/EFTA-Staaten
- Gründung eines gemeinschaftlichen Online-Arbeitsplatzes
- Analyse von bestehenden Datenquellen, sammeln von Hinweisen und Beispielen aus unterschiedlichen Ländern und Darstellung von thematischen Berichten anhand der Durchführung des Europäischen Aktionsplans und der Richtlinie der EU
- Beobachtung internationaler Entwicklungen im Bereich der Gesetzgebung und der Praxis anhand der Durchführung der UN-Konvention

Academic Network of European Disability experts (ANED)
The Academic Network of European Disability experts is a new pan-European academic network in the disability field. It is funded by the European Commission and builds upon the expertise of existing disability research centres and networks. It consults with disabled people's organisations and is supported by organizational partners, national experts, thematic rapporteurs and external advisors. The Network's collaborative infrastructure maximises participation and lesson learning across research and policy communities and thereby strengthens the European Research Area.
Its philosophy and aims focus on research that supports the objectives of European disability policy towards the goal of full participation and equal opportunities for all disabled people. Its structure prioritizes the leading role of disabled people in strategic and academic management.
The tasks of the Network are:
