Mit dem Projekt soll die frühe Integration junger Menschen mit Behinderung in das Arbeitsleben unterstützt werden. Erfahrungen zeigen, dass eine Integration in das Arbeitsleben besser gelingt, wenn bereits während der Schulzeit eine intensive Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema Arbeit und Beruf bei den Schülerinnen und Schülern in Gang gesetzt wird. Im Rahmen des Übergangs Schule - Beruf übernimmt die Schule als vorbereitende Institution eine entscheidende Funktion bei der beruflichen Zukunftsplanung. Zielsetzung:
Im Rahmen des Projekts Startchancen soll ein Curriculum für ein Fortbildungsangebot für Lehrkräfte entwickelt werden. Dieses Fortbildungsangebot wird Lehrkräften an Förder- sowie Integrationsschulen mit der Zielgruppe geistiger Behinderung und dem Auftrag die Orientierung und Vorbereitung ihrer Schülerinnen und Schüler auf das Berufsleben ein Forum zum Austausch, Kennenlernen und Umsetzen von Integrationspraxis bieten. Damit wird der Background, die Handlungsorientierung sowie die Methoden- und Netzwerkkompetenz der Lehrkräfte im Hinblick auf die berufliche Orientierung und Vorbereitung ihrer Schülerinnen und Schüler gestärkt. Übergeordnetes Ziel des Projekts ist es, junge Menschen mit Behinderung darin zu unterstützen ihren vom Gesetzgeber formulierten Anspruch auf berufliche Integration geltend zu machen und die mögliche Begleitung durch Fachdienste zu nutzen.
Vorgehen:
Im Verlauf des Projekts geht es zunächst darum, eine Bestandsaufnahme zum Thema berufliche Integration für Lehrkräfte zu erheben. In dieser Recherchephase werden best-practice Beispiele einbezogen und Konzepte zur beruflichen Integration aus der Schule analysiert. Im Weiteren wird unter Mitarbeit einer Projektgruppe mit Fachkräften aus der Region sowie Experten und Expertinnen ein Fortbildungscurriculum entwickelt. Dieses Curriculum soll in der Folge in Schleswig-Holstein erprobt werde. Am Ende des Projekts soll das dann vorliegende Konzept auch in anderen Bundesländern vorgestellt werden, so dass es dort ebenso für die Fortbildung von Lehrkräften genutzt werden kann.
