Type of Project: Funded project
Returning to work during corona pandemic

Description / Topics

The mixed-method-project examines return to work (RTW) processes during the corona pandemic. Particularly, we study RTW processes and quotes of people, who completed a medical or vocational rehabilitation during the pandemic. We investigate, which impact the pandemic had and which factors contributed to that impact. Therefore, national and international literature is reviewed, administrative datasets from the German Pension Insurance are analysed, and qualitative interviews and focus groups with affected persons as well as with rehabilitation professionals and operational actors (like occupational health professionals) are conducted. The findings will be triangulated, discussed with experts, and taken as a basis for recommendations to further develop (crisis-proofen) rehabilitative and occupational RTW strategies, offers and measures.
