Development and testing of systems that enable hearing-impaired people and people with multiple hearing impairments to access the personal budget

Goals: Providing information and knowledge to help hearing impaired people understand the Personal Budget as a new application proceedings: Acquiring potential budget recipients through an internet presence, conducting information events, developing a flyer in easy read, conducting initial interviews (individual and group interviews) as well as trainings and seminars at the regional associations. Development and testing of access to the Personal Budget for the hearing impaired and people with communication impairments: Development of an interview concept, selection of potential budget recipients, presentation of the procedure, assessment of needs, application. Establishment and maintenance of contacts to cooperation partners (service providers and service centers, deaf associations): Establishment of an advisory board, sensitization to the topic of deafness, discussions with the employees of the service centers, exchange of information and experience, involvement of the deaf associations and joint consultation in the service centers. Development and testing of consultation tools from the initial consultation to the approval of the personal budget, in particular checklists and questionnaires for the consultation tools of a conversation guide.
