The path back to the workplace is complex in the case of oncological illnesses. Those affected complain of a diffuse jungle of paragraphs and authorities or feel that support from social insurance agencies and companies is unfair. A counseling service offered by the Saxony-Anhalt Cancer Society is designed to support people in this life situation. Seminars, group and individual counseling: - Removal of information deficits - Mediation of further assistance - Targeted practical support - Psychological crisis talks - Improving the quality of life and increasing subjective well-being - Promoting and increasing the self-help potential - Integration instead of isolation - Tips for professional conversation and job coaching - Stress management and mobilisation of personal resources - Orientation and clarification of socio-legal issues - Information on side effects after therapies - Advice and ways of dealing with fatigue syndrome - Information and assistance with benefits for participation - Talking offers In the counselling offer, participants learn to adapt to the changed life situation, receive additional information on living with cancer and develop problem-solving strategies.
