Mosaik – Accessible Graphics from and for Blind Users

Description / Topics

The main objective of the Mosaik project is to enable blind users to use graphics independently by their own. The process of tactile graphics creation should be highly automated for special kind of graphic types to allow for generating very well accessible graphics. Furthermore, a digital freehand drawing tool for blind users with direct tactile feedback should be developed.

Basically the project addresses two target groups: sighted graphic authors as well as blind graphic consumers and authors. The goal is to support both user groups within the process of creating well accessible information graphics by providing proper tools.
