Gütersloh Foundation for the Mentally Ill and Mentally Handicapped

The sub-project "Gütersloh Foundation for the Mentally Ill and Mentally Disabled" is a foundation that pursues the long-term goal of strengthening the often inadequate capital situation of integration companies in the Gütersloh region and supporting new company start-ups. The aim of the subproject is to raise the profile of the foundation in the region among borrowers and potential donors through extensive public relations work (regional "Sozialoskar", sponsored run by Gütersloh schools, exhibitions, etc.), to recruit investors for the provision of venture capital, to build up a ring of sponsors, to promote the placement of orders with integration companies and to increase the foundation's capital. In addition, integration companies receive non-material and material assistance when starting up or expanding, and existing workplaces are assured. The "Gütersloh Foundation" is intended to serve as a model for comparable initiatives in other regions.
