Development of a Web-based form of action guideline "promote health - maintain working capacity" and the accompanying evaluation of its practical implementation

Chronic diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) often already become manifest in working age. The Consequences of associated restrictions of working capacity and thus earning capacity can be noticed in private and professional life of the individual and in sum in society in general. Aiming at informing the people involved in the supply process about the medical and non-medical assistance measures via the Internet, a cross-professional web site will be developed. Focus thereby is on a barrier-free, clear design of the website www.wegweiser-arbeitsfaehigkeit.de to ensure usability for all actors. The content is similar to the previously developed action guideline also entitled "promote health - maintain working capacity". The information listed is in particular concerned with early support of patients with working problems due to chronic diseases in order to improve their equal participation in working life. The acceptance and "habits in web use" of the recipients (family physicians / rheumatologists, occupational physicians, patients) are assessed by means of individualized online questionnaires. To initiate participation in the online survey printed acting guidelines will be sent to several addresses in several model regions after the website was activated. Simultaneously the different access routes to the website and the number of downloads are recorded by means of an implemented analysis software
