Development of indicators for assessing the participation and inclusion performance of WfbM

In the research project, the results of workshop work are to be brought to the fore with the help of impact-oriented indicators. In this way, it is possible to assess which participation and integration performance has been achieved with the public funds made available. The cooperative research of suitable effect-oriented result indicators, thus quantitative and / or qualitative indicators, which reflect the tasks of the workshops formulated in § 136 SGB IX, supplies these statements over the efficiency of the WfbM. This collection of indicators is not intended or suitable as a directly usable instrument for "grading" a workshop or for ranking various service providers. After more than 4 decades of experience, it is clear that there is no one-best-way, the one right way, how a workshop should be equipped and structured or how it should proceed, in order to perform successful work. Rather, the research result provides the scientific basis on which the agents, WfbM and service providers can draw. A concerted action of numerous service providers (here: WfbM) to research a coordinated set of indicators with the active involvement of service providers can give the necessary quality discussion a scientifically sound basis in the future and thus create the conditions for professional controlling in the interest of both sides. The set of indicators would enable the service providers to assess the quality of the participation and integration services provided by the "workshop" as a whole and, if necessary, to forecast the expected individual integration success. Service providers, in turn, would have an instrument at their disposal that is capable of mapping and communicating the breadth of their specific integration services and that is suitable for controlling their own processes and procedures as well as for learning from one another.
