Reduction of unemployment among severely disabled people

Multiphase study on factors influencing the employment or unemployment of severely disabled people in the Federal Republic of Germany. The study consists of three sub-studies: 1. A survey of severely disabled people who were unemployed in June 2002 (stock sample) or who left unemployment for employment in the first half of 2002 ( exit sample). With the help of a self-completion questionnaire, a total of 1,149 severely disabled people in a stock sample of the unemployed and 1,277 people in the outgoing sample were interviewed in writing in the winter of 2002/2003. 2. In parallel, a written survey of 815 companies was carried out. Companies and public administrations with 16 or more employees were included. The basic population consisted of companies with an employment obligation for severely disabled persons. 3. The survey of both sides of the labor market was supplemented by a written postal survey of employment offices, integration offices, integration services, vocational training and promotion centers. 159 of these institutions participated.
