Participation research: Shaping inclusion effectively

The aim of the project is to expand and further develop participation research for the project period of 5 years and to achieve a comprehensive improvement in knowledge about the living situation of people with impairments and disabilities. Starting in 2019, the research project will present an annual research report, which, in addition to current empirical data based on the Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP), will include findings from qualitative interviews, monitoring of developments in the field of inclusive policies, and recommendations for action derived from the results. In addition to the annual reports, longitudinal analyses based on the SOEP are also conducted to show the development of participation opportunities at the individual level. Existing participation research (Participation Report, Participation Survey, Inclusion Barometer Work of Aktion Mensch) can be usefully supplemented without overlaps.
