Living with Usher-Syndrom
work together to empower deaf-blind people to more political participation. That way the project helps to fullfill the UN CRPD in helping a strongly vulnerable group to more participation.
Parts oft the project are:
- to explane to deaf-blind people democratic processes, legislation and oportunities of civil society in influencing political discussions
- to explane the system of social policy in Germany
- to analyse the social law basis of support for deaf-blind people, to encurrage them to formulate political goals concerning this basis and to plan strategies to reach these goals
- to strengthen the commitment of deaf-blind people to improve their own situation
It is planned to:
- to provide information about the political topics of the project in all accessible formats
- accessible workshops
- individual and group coaching
