Scientific monitoring and overall supervision of the Job4000 program

Job4000 is a labor market program to improve the occupational integration of severely affected people with disabilities and was launched by the German Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs as part of the "jobs - Jobs without barriers" initiative. Job4000 will run from January 2007 to December 2013. During this period, the federal and state governments will provide a total of 50 million euros. Job4000 is based on three pillars: - the creation of at least 1,000 new workplaces for severely disabled people who are particularly affected - the creation of at least 500 new in-company training places for severely disabled young people - support for at least 2.500 severely disabled people in their transition to the general labor market. Support for employers: Employers who participate in Job4000 are supported in individual cases with up to a maximum of 8,000 euros for vocational training and 36,000 euros for employment. The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has commissioned the Fachberatung für Arbeits- und Firmenprojekte (FAF), the Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft der Berufsbildungswerke e.V. (BAG BBW) and the Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft für Unterstützte Beschäftigung e.V. (BAG UB) to provide scientific support and overall supervision. The joint tasks include: - cooperation with the federal states, integration offices and employment agencies - organization of public relations - documentation of the supported measures and their sustainability - preparation of reports and - preparation of proposals on possible need for legal changes.
