Digital Participation

Digital technologies and tools from information and communication technology - such as robotics, 3D printing, artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, or mobile devices and applications - are developed in projects and promote the participation of people with disabilities in working life, education and training, and social life.

Projects develop, test and disseminate, for example, robots as digital production assistants for severely disabled employees in assembly, 3-print workshops for the employment of people with significant disabilities, mobile systems for digitally supported learning and training of action sequences in vocational training or apps for easier identification of items of clothing for visually impaired people.

To ensure that digital technologies and media do not become barriers to participation, digital skills, such as the use of the Internet, must be promoted. Projects are developing concepts and aids for action on how digital learning and work can be designed.
