Demographic change is an upcoming challenge to industry. The proportion of older workers will continue to grow in the next decades. So the question how health and working capacity of employees can be kept during their working life gains major importance. Aim of the project “Healthy and qualified ageing in the automotive industry - participation and inclusion from the start (PINA)” is to find practical concepts for the working environment.. The three-years collaborative project between the Darmstadt University of Technology, Institute of Ergonomics (IAD) and the University of Cologne, Department for Labour and Vocational Rehabilitation is funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. Partners are automobile manufacturers and suppliers such as Audi, Bosch, Daimler, Evobus, Ford, Opel, Porsche and VW.
