Despite of good school leaving certificates and vocational training degrees people with autism are still disadvantaged in getting jobs in the general labour market. The project AUT-1A assumes that the excisting measures and instruments to support transition from vocational training to the first labour market are insufficient to ensure sustainable employment. Therefore the project AUT-1A researches existing reservations and resistances against hiring people with autism among employers. In addition new insights to effective ways of coaching and job placement of vocational trained people with autism should be gained. As a first step employers will be interviewed about their experiences in hiring employees with autism. Derived from the insights aquired effective measured should be developed both for transition and maintaining sustainable working relationships.
