School-to-Work Transition

The focus here is on young people with disabilities from special schools, vocational schools and general education schools who are disadvantaged in terms of their training and employment opportunities. With the help of various support services, they are to be enabled to take up training or employment after leaving school.

These include, for example, career guidance, training and career preparation, vocational preparation measures (BvB), skills assessment procedures, career identification, career planning, job applications and internships.

These concepts and measures for shaping the transition phase between school and work are developed, tested and implemented in projects.

An important project topic is also the cooperation of the agencies involved in the transition process, such as schools, companies, chambers and rehabilitation providers. This involves, for example, increasing the willingness of companies to provide training and creating internships for young people with disabilities.
