Action 1000 - Perspective 2020

Since 2005, around 3,000 people with significant disabilities have found work in the general labor market that is subject to social insurance contributions as a result of the KVJS campaigns 1000 and 1000plus. The action went into extension on 01.01.2014 - with the "Action 1000 - Perspective 2020". By the end of 2020, a total of 5,000 placements in the general labor market are targeted. The KVJS campaign focuses on people with significant disabilities or special support needs in their transition to the general labor market. Their personal environment is also involved. Therefore, individual career path conferences and competency inventories play a central role. In essence, every student now has the right to plan and test his or her job prospects at an early stage with the help of the school, career counseling and the integration specialist service. As soon as an employment relationship is to be prepared, job coaches from the workshops for people with disabilities come into play. The vocational training programs BVE (Berufsvorbereitende Einrichtung) and KoBV (Kooperative berufliche Bildung und Vorbereitung auf den allgemeinen Arbeitsmarkt) developed during Aktion 1000/1000plus are now to be set up throughout Baden-Württemberg. In addition, the target group will be expanded to include other groups with the 2020 perspective. Suitable offers will also be available for young people with functional limitations of the body, sensory organs, autism or epilepsy. Important for the success of the campaign is the organizational and conceptual cooperation of the agents. The KVJS, the Baden-Württemberg Regional Directorate of the Federal Employment Agency and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports therefore concluded a cooperation agreement in 2010 to promote the vocational participation of young people with significant disabilities in the transition from school to the general labor market.
