KOPI - Cooperation Project Inclusion - Implementation of Inclusion Competence at Chambers (IvIK)

Objective: A project office is being set up at the IHK Nordschwarzwald to implement inclusion competence. The overriding goal is to improve the training and employment opportunities for severely disabled people at member companies in the chamber district. Project topic: The main focus of the IHK's activities will be the dual vocational training of severely disabled young people. The IHK is striving for close cooperation with the integration office, the integration specialist services and an institution for the disabled (Gemeinnützige Werkstätten und Wohnstätten GmbH) in order to benefit from the experience of these bodies and to be able to use synergy effects. Tasks and contents: The project office is to act as a central contact point to advise on the possibilities of dual vocational training for severely disabled young people and to support the member companies in all matters relating to the participation of severely disabled people in working life. Information events and targeted training programs are intended to improve the information available to companies on the subject of inclusion. Advice on the trainability of severely disabled people, competence analyses for potential applicants and the management of subsidies are intended to motivate companies to turn more to this group of people. The offer of educational sponsorships and needs-oriented, practical intensive training as well as inclusion coaching is also intended to increase the willingness of companies to train and employ severely disabled people. In addition, training courses on the topic of vocational training and employment of severely disabled people are being designed for the chamber's own staff. The aim is to train IHK employees in the education sector within the framework of the project to such an extent that these employees will be able to continue the advisory and support work after the end of the project and also regularly carry out further events and activities on the topic of inclusion.
