LEA - Learning and Working in Europe

The project "LEA - Learning and Working in Europe" aims to promote the employment opportunities of young people with disabilities in the general labor market by supporting transnational mobility projects and expert exchanges. Our target groups for the realization of the project are young people with disabilities at the transitions school - occupation/ training and at the transition training/ occupation. By four-week practical courses with our transnational partners in the European Union foreign country thereby a) the chances on a training place for pupils, as well as school leavers with handicap are increased and b) young unemployed humans with handicap at the transition from vocational initial training into employment are promoted. During the stay in the host country the further switching of language knowledge plays an important role. The participants record their experiences in a diary, exchange information at regular meetings, and clarify problems and issues. The participants have access to the project through the educational institutions "Sondershäuser Bildungsverein e.V." and "Internationales Bildungs- und Sozialwerk" in Bad Frankenhausen. In each funding year, representatives of social partners, associations and other institutions relevant to the labor market are invited to the Kyffhäuser district to exchange their experiences with German labor market actors on site.
