Inclusive IT careers

Description / Topics

The project "Inclusive IT careers" wants to raise the proportion of young people with severe disabilities in vocational training for IT professions outside special education centers by a third.

10 companies with 200 or more employees and 20 small businesses are to be won for the training of IT apprentices with severe disabilities and to make this commitment visible in their HR marketing.

Along the way good examples of vocational training for severely disabled people within regular companies will be documented.
Together with the companies we will analyze how vocational training for IT jobs can succeed for the severely disabled. The results will be made available to other companies and applicants. Advantages and problems in training are to be portrayed realistically and should demonstrate at the same time where to get practical help.

"Inclusive IT careers" is a project of BITKOM, funded over three and a half years by the compensation fund of the BMAS.
