- IdA stands for „Integration by Exchange“
- It´s a program of the Federal Institute for Employment and European Social Fund (ESF), http://www.ida.de
- Purpose: increasing of the employment opportunities of disabled people with qualifying temporary employment abroad (Work camps, Internships)
TARGETGROUPS
Disabled people who are able to work in the first labour market. There is no limitation to certain handicaps or a particular degree of disability.
1. adolescents in change of school / apprenticeship: graduates from regular and special schools
2. jobsearching adults between apprenticeship and employment: graduates at company level or intercompany level corporation
3. jobsearching adults

INTERNSHIP OR WORKCAMP
- 7 weeks in the host country
- to improve the working skills
- to improve the personal development
- to overcome language barriers
- to acquire intercultural competences
- to improve the integration in a regular employment
EXAMPLE: EXECUTION OF A STAY ABROAD
Target group
- 11 participants, selection on basis of application documents and job interviews in agreement with labour market partners
Preparation
6 week preparation at moveo in Germany
- competence-clearing
- intercultural training, language training, regional studies
- preparation of the stay abroad
- preparation concerning the profession / internship
Residence
- 7-week stay abroad with an opportunity to extend: first week language training, 6 weeks internship
- or 6-week stay abroad: first week language training, 5 weeks work camp
- Accompanied by a German social pedagogue and visits from the project managers if re-quired
Post processing
4-week post processing
- Evaluation of the stay abroad
- Participants draw up a report of their experience
- Presentation of the experience acquired abroad for the German labour market experts
- Supporting the participant in getting a job
- Informing enterprises and sensitize them for disabled employees
ABOUT MOVEO
- A non-confessional, non-party and non-profit organization
- Established in 2003, more than 20 employees
- The concept contains four fields: labour, learning, culture and social actions
- Supplies for public services, job-searching adolescents and adults, commercial enterprises and private people
- The focus of our work is directed to job-related qualifications and integration into the labour market
- We are member of a holding with stakes also in a “Personal and Computer School” and an organization for disabled children and adolescents
