Wabe-Net - Overcoming unemployment through networked needs assessment and service provision - A cooperative joint project in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland

Benefits for participation in working life (LTA) are provided by the German Pension Insurance (DRV) in order to maintain or restore the insured person's (m/f/d) ability to work. The DRV therefore only recognizes one obstacle to placement, namely disability within the meaning of SGB IX. SGB III and SGB II recognize several types of obstacles to placement, for the overcoming of which special benefits are provided. In practice, the ban on benefits in accordance with § 22 Para. 2 SGB III means that the placement assistance provided by the SGB II and SGB III agencies for overcoming unemployment is not available to pension insurance rehabilitants (m/f/d). The project is therefore aimed at unemployed / job-seeking rehabilitants of the DRV Rhineland-Palatinate and the DRV Saarland with multiple barriers to placement who are simultaneously in a support relationship with the participating cooperation partners (benefits for participation in working life - LTA and placement). The aim is to improve reintegration into employment (subject to social insurance contributions) by expanding the portfolio of pension insurance services and thereby reducing modifiable barriers to placement. To this end, following the case identification, an inter-agency exchange of information takes place with the consent of the person concerned (m/f/d). Based on the jointly collected and evaluated information about the insured person, a cross-legal reintegration proposal is agreed in an individual case conference and finalized in a reintegration plan in consultation with the person concerned. The reintegration process is continuously monitored and adapted as necessary until successful integration into working life has been achieved or a maximum of two years' participation in the project has been reached.
