Evaluation of advisory, information and training services on AI-supported assistance systems for people with (severe) disabilities in the world of work as part of the "KI-Kompass Inklusiv" project

As part of the evaluation of this sub-project of "KI-Kompass Inklusiv", the ITA is examining how well it is possible to meet the needs of the three target groups, i.e. people with disabilities, vocational rehabilitation specialists and interested companies, by providing advice, information and training on AI-supported assistance technology. The BMAS-funded project "KI-Kompass Inklusiv" (www.ki-kompass-inklusiv.de) is establishing a competence center for AI-supported assistance technologies and inclusion in working life. It is intended to provide people with disabilities, service providers, companies and other stakeholders with the opportunity to obtain information, advice and/or support on the testing and introduction of AI-supported assistance technologies in a needs-oriented and practical manner. The aim of work package 2 "Capacity building through training and advice" is to design and implement various formats for advising, informing, training and networking the target groups mentioned. The evaluation of this work package examines and assesses the range of information, training and advice in terms of reach, quality and target group orientation. Interim results are repeatedly incorporated into the conception and adaptations of the offers during the course of the project. At the end of the evaluation, recommendations for action for the continuation and expansion of the services will be derived together with the client and, if necessary, other experts. Target group and format-specific surveys using an online tool will be used for the evaluation project. In order to be able to include people with disabilities according to their assistance needs, surveys are developed in simple language, which can be conducted as interviews if required. Both specialists and trained peers are planned as interviewers. In addition to quantitative evaluations, qualitative content analyses and, where possible, inferential statistical methods will be used. The client for the evaluation of WP 2 "Guidance and skills" is the Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft der Berufsbildungswerke e.V. (BAG BBW). The project consortium also includes DFKI, the Federal Association of German Vocational Training Centres (BV BFW) and the Federal Association of Workshops for People with Disabilities (BAG WfbM).
